It was just an advice ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I like to think that everyone is playing their own movie where they are the protagonist and go through the typical action/drama packed movie:
- The intro (birth)
- The adversaries/obstacles (that’s often ourselves and our thoughts… in disguise)
- The goals, desires… etc.
- The struggles they go to.
- The hustle.
- The family/friend support or no supports.
- The conclusion (death)
Of course, there are more stages that I’m overlooking here. But you get the idea.
Then one day, in your movie, you encounter another character who’s “successful” in their own movie and before you know it, they tell you what to do to get there too.
After receiving the “secret to life”, you’ll realize your options boil down to those three:
- You write it down to reflect on later
- You tell them to piss off
- You ignore them
Needless to say which option works best in your interest here.
When you’re ready to hit the sack, with just a tad bit of energy left to read, you read your journal and reflect on what is written.
When it’s time to reflect on the advice received, you analyze it, do your own research about it and figure out the WHY behind it.
If you decide to really implement it in your life, make sure to determine the next achievable goal/task towards it.
At the end of it all, it was just an advice. Nothing more, nothing less.
